1. Mothballs

2. Use Aluminum Foil
Hanging aluminum foil in the areas frequented by bats is an effective way to annoy the bats and eventually get rid of them. Bats will hate the light reflection on the aluminum foil.
3. Mirror, Mirror
One of the easiest method to eliminate bats is to hang mirrors on the areas they are spotted frequently. The light reflection from the mirror will annoy the bats and force them to leave your home and find another place where they can live peacefully.
4. Eucalyptus Oil
Bats don't like to dwell in places with the scent of eucalyptus. These animals simply hate the smell of eucalyptus.
5. Aerosol Sprays
Spraying aerosol on the areas of your house where Montogmery bats are taking shelter with is another practical way to irritate them and force them to leave.
6. Spray Them With Water
Spraying the bats with water is one of the cheapest bat remedy. The idea is again, to annoy them so eventually they will move out and find another place for dwelling.
7. Phenol
This is somehow a domino effect approach. Since Alabama bats feed on insects, you can get rid of them by targeting their food source. Phenols work best in eliminating pests and insects. And, once bats are left with no food resource, they will feel obliged to leave and find another place where they will have food access.
8. Cinnamon
One of the most known method to deter bats is by using cinnamon. Bats have a great dislike for the smell of cinnamon and is a great way to rid of them naturally.
9. Peppermint Oil
Just like cinnamon, Montogmery bats do not like the smell of peppermint. Mix peppermint oil with water and spray the solution around the places in your house where bats are taking shelter. The smell should discourage them and they will soon vacate the area.
